Wendy Ancieta Sánchez currently serves as legal coordinator for the Environmental Policy and Governance Program at the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law.
Wendy is a lawyer with a second specialization in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and a master's degree in Economic Administrative Law from the University of the Pacific. She has more than 10 years of experience in energy regulation, specifically in the hydrocarbons sector, and has experience in both the public and private sectors in environmental impact assessment and environmental oversight.
As part of the Environmental Policy and Governance Program, she currently conducts research, addresses opinions, and leads strategies on issues of environmental regulation of extractive industries, environmental oversight, decentralization, and environmental institutions.
