Science-policy interfaces (SPI) aim to improve policy uptake and address global biodiversity loss and climate crisis. This event will focus on the levers and barriers for the engagement of knowledge holders to strengthen SPIs in biodiversity and climate
Descripción de la sesión
Biodiversity-related science-policy interfaces at European (e.g., the new Knowledge Centre for Biodiversity (KCBD)) and global (e.g., IPBES) levels aim to improve policy uptake and address the global biodiversity crisis. Still, effective translation of knowledge into action and fostering science-policy dialogue, remain a challenge. This session will focus on strengthening science-policy interface for implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and the Paris Agreement. The future EU Science Service for Biodiversity, contributing to the KCBD, will support enhanced biodiversity action and drive sustainable transformation in EuropeSpeaker
