This immersive side event reimagines conservation as a cultural, community-rooted, and sensory experience led by women and grounded in the ecological, creative, and traditional knowledge of West Asia. Through interactive storytelling, art, and dialogue, the session highlights deep connections between nature, identity, and gender-responsive action. The panel will spotlight women from grassroots, Indigenous, and local communities, including those in Petra and Southern Jordan, who are pioneering nature-based solutions rooted in cultural practices such as traditional fermentation and native plants. These practices, rich in microbial and biocultural diversity, reflect a powerful intersection of conservation, food systems, and gender justice. By amplifying these stories, the session showcases inclusive governance, eco-friendly businesses, and the integration of local knowledge into mainstream conservation frameworks, offering actionable insights for climate resilience and community-driven innovation.
