Descripción de la sesión
The Blue Natural Capital Financing Facility (BNCFF), funded by Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity, supports innovative, investable projects that restore and protect coastal ecosystems while generating sustainable economic returns. Since its launch, BNCFF has deployed over €4M in grants, mobilised €17M+ in follow-up funding, supported 21 high-impact projects, protected 2.6M hectares of ecosystems, and strengthened 56 marine protected areas. Its pioneering work has advanced carbon credits, sustainable tourism, fisheries management, and large-scale green-grey infrastructure solutions. With strong results from phases 1 and 2, the Government of Luxembourg now launches Phase 3. This new phase will focus on scaling proven models, maximising community-level impacts in strategic regions, and strengthening partnerships with investors and local stakeholders. Congress participants will gain insights into how blue natural capital is becoming an investable asset class linking business, nature, and society.Organised by
