Come and learn about these Principles that provide a framework for governments, donors, NGOs and other stakeholders who seek to support local action for nature to scale-up transformative action to conserve, restore, sustainably use and manage biodiversity.

Descripción de la sesión

In this session we would present the eight principles and : 1. Explore how they relate to a broader array of related initiatives - including the UNEP Core Human Rights Principles for Private Conservation Organisations and Funders, the Global Indigenous Agenda for the Governance of Indigenous Lands, Territories, Waters, Coastal Seas and Natural Resources and the Roadmap for Advancing Rights and Equity in Conservation. 2. Share good practices on how these initiatives have effected change in terms of integration (into policies, strategies, ODA programming, and negotiations), capacity and funding. 3 Identify clear points of collaboration and joint working across terrestrial and marine programmes. 4. Build a broader network of actors involved in inclusive conservation principles that enables an acceleration of actions to drive transformative change through to 2030 and beyond.
