Por qué asistir

For young leaders and professionals interested in peacebuilding and transboundary conservation in conflict-affected regions, this event is a must-attend opportunity to gain and share cutting-edge knowledge and experience on the latest approaches and innovations in transboundary biodiversity conservation. Participants will also engage with leading conservation professionals working on transboundary initiatives.

Descripción de la sesión

The session aims to present innovative approaches and cutting-edge knowledge on transboundary biodiversity conservation in conflict-affected regions, with a focus on youth-driven transformative leadership and innovation. The primary goal is to support young leaders, scientists, policymakers, practitioners, and relevant stakeholders in advancing opportunities for peacebuilding, transboundary conservation, research, and monitoring. During the session, we plan to host 3–4 panelists who will introduce key topics, current trends, and success stories. This will be followed by interactive group work on real-world cases, specifically protected areas affected by the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, using a "World Café" format. Participants will have the opportunity to actively contribute and discuss multiple ideas that could be applied to other similar regions.
