Biography
Puyr Tembé is a leader and the first indigenous woman to head a state secretariat in Pará, connecting the experience of territories threatened by deforestation with international coordination for the conservation of the Amazon. Co-founder of networks such as FEPIPA and ANMIGA, she develops participatory methodologies that place Indigenous Peoples at the center of climate decisions. Representing more than 55 peoples and around 80,000 people, she affirms demarcation as a prerequisite for effective conservation policies.
