Why attend
As Brazil will host COP 30, this session will be an opportunity to know how Brazilian Committee members are working across all national biomes to tackle climate and biodiversity crises. Focusing on species loss, they showcase collaborative solutions which use concepts as nature-based solutions, integrated fire management, among others
Session Description
The objective of this event is to highlight the responses that the various member organizations of the IUCN Brazilian National Committee have provided to the climate and biodiversity crises and the interconnections between these two crises. These "responses" occur across all Brazilian biomes, employ different methods, and represent the diversity and strength of Brazilian non-governmental organizations. By focusing on a single theme—species loss—it will be possible to observe the convergences and complementarities between these organizations' actions and Brazilian public policiesPartners
