Why attend

Join this session to experience a fashion show where Indigenous clothing and ornaments come alive as stories of identity, culture, and connection to nature. See how garments hold wisdom and history, and celebrate traditions that continue to guide and unite Indigenous Peoples today.

Session Description

Participants are invited to wear their Indigenous and traditional clothes and take part in a fashion show that celebrates culture and identity. This is not just about showing beautiful outfits, but that each piece of Indigenous and traditional clothing and ornament reflects a way of life, a connection to nature, and the wisdom of ancestors. Through colors, patterns, and materials, participants will share stories of where they come from and what shapes their communities today. The session will highlight how clothing is more than decoration: it carries history, values, and belonging. By walking together, participants honor traditions that continue to guide Indigenous Peoples in caring for their lands, waters, and cultures, while sharing these living expressions with others.
