Why attend
Join us to contribute to this important step toward aligning infrastructure development with global biodiversity goals.
Session Description
At COP16 in Cali, Parties endorsed the creation of sector-specific Communities of Practice to support implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF). In response, WWF and The Nature Conservancy, in collaboration with the CBD Secretariat, are initiating the development of a Community of Practice on Nature & Infrastructure (COPNI).This session invites participants to engage in shaping COPNI’s structure and function. It will begin with an overview of the proposed framework and terms of reference, followed by an open consultation to gather insights from Parties and stakeholders involved in infrastructure planning. Your input will help co-develop a model that supports biodiversity mainstreaming in infrastructure systems worldwide.
