Session Description
This interactive fishbowl session will bring together African conservation leaders, donors, and international partners to explore how catalytic small and medium grants, innovative financial models, and resilient partnerships are transforming local conservation leadership. Drawing on experiences from across Africa, from community-based organizations to regional platforms, speakers will share solutions they have pioneered to overcome barriers to funding and highlight the role of initiatives such as Mubadarat, PPI, BIOPAMA, SOS, and the African Nature-Based Tourism Platform. Using the rotating fishbowl format, the session will foster dynamic dialogue between local actors, donors, and INGOs, generating practical insights on how to enable long-term sustainability and stronger conservation impact.Organized by
