Session Description

This high-level dialogue convenes government leaders and key stakeholders from the West Asia region to accelerate progress toward the "30 by 30" target—protecting 30% of land and marine areas by 2030. Anchored in the themes of the IUCN Congress 2025 and guided by the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, the dialogue will explore scalable solutions, regional cooperation, and nature-positive investments to strengthen the design and management of protected and conserved areas, while ensuring equitable and inclusive implementation that upholds the rights and roles of local communities. to across the ROWA region.
