Why attend

This session embraces the essential role of education systems in inspiring future environmental leaders and building strong economies. We will workshop our journey to build consensus with education systems, to validate the education efficacy of nature literacy and agency, alongside societal benefits including, healthy humans, strong economy and planetary wellness.

Session Description

Canada, India and the UK are diverse countries with a wide range of cultures and governance. We explore the work towards unified frameworks for Environmental Learning, that addresses Climate, Biodiversity and Pollution challenges.

This work is significant as it underpins the needs of both nature and people, ensuring that sustainability efforts are equitable and just and elevate ambition, accelerate action and scale up collaborative solutions across multiple sectors of society.

The session will have three components, led by intergenerational leaders.
Introduction (10 mins) – A high level overview of the National Frameworks their challenges and opportunities.
Process Journey (20 mins) – This facilitated panel discussion will review co-creation from Indigenous, Youth, NGO, and Government perspectives.
Implementation and Reporting (20mins) – These breakout discussions will explore the role and function of the operational elements of the Frameworks (Regional Teams, Working Groups, Advisory) and their alignment with thought leadership commitments to IUCN, UNFCC, UNCBD.
