Session Description
his session shifts from capacity to financial architecture, exploring how Conservation Trust Funds (CTFs) can reach scale and durability through co-financing and de-risking by multilateral and bilateral partners. Speakers will unpack governance features that underpin trust and performance, and present concrete cases where blended finance and structured partnerships have expanded conservation impact. Examples will span multiple sectors and stakeholder groups, including Indigenous Peoples, local communities, civil society, and private sector actors. Participants will gain practical insights into structuring deals, aligning incentives, and managing risk to mobilize larger, more resilient portfolios. The session combines concise presentations with interactive discussion to surface lessons learned, replicable models, and enabling conditions for inclusive, high-performing CTFs.
