Why attend

Learn from young conservation professionals about their career pathways!

Session Description

For many young people, a love for nature can manifest in recreation outside, a set of hobbies, or volunteering. Fewer among us have the opportunity to build a whole career around nature. In this session, young conservationists representing IUCN Member organizations will reflect on their early-career experiences, drawing insights on the factors that have supported their entry into the field and recommendations for improving access for others to launch into similar nature-based jobs. In particular, participants will speak to the ways in which IUCN membership facilitates career growth.
