Camille Rivera, Founder of Oceanus Conservation and a marine ecologist leading blue carbon restoration efforts across Philippines. She has protected over 400+ hectares of mangroves, engaged more than 7,000 youth, and planted over 60,000 mangrove saplings together with local community partners. Camille is a 2022 National Geographic Explorer, Global Future Council member on the Regenerative Blue Economy, and co-author of a World Economic Forum article on valuing blue carbon for local communities. She represents Southeast Asia as part of the Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOP) network GLFx Steering Committee for Asia Pacific building regional collaboration for inclusive ocean action. Her work has been featured in Only One, and Global Landscapes Forum, Vogue Philippines and presented at UNFCCC COP26, COP28, and the UN Ocean Conference. Camille’s vision blends science, storytelling, and technology to drive marine conservation that centers local communities and young leaders across the region.
