Biography

Hamza has a diverse experience of strategy development, programme design and implementation, for issues such as sustainable infrastructure, green/blue finance, nature-based solutions and climate adaptation, particularly for high mountain ecosystems, where he specializes in environmental due diligence, impact assessments and policy planning & advocacy. Hamza has been involved in conservation from a number of angles, bridging science-policy-practice gaps, while working with national governments, businesses, financial institutions, and local communities across Central & South Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Presently, he is leading the sustainable infrastructure workstream at the UNEP-WCMC in Cambridge, UK.
