Human geographer and political ecologist  combining insights from academic, policy and arts and design contexts to explore transformative approaches to conservation aligned with Convivial Conservation. I obtained my PhD in 2017 from the University of London, with analyses of valuation frameworks in biodiversity offsetting markets in England - exploring the implications of and the effects of these shifts would have for people, nature and conservation practice.
I am currently leading the programme on Convivial Conservation with arts, research and advocacy foundation TBA21 working with partners in the Caribbean. I am designing a Regenerative Blue Economy Living Lab action-research with arts residencies in Jamaica that supports the blue commons. In connection I am a co-founder of the Convivial Conservation Centre at the University of Wageningen, Netherlands with colleagues in India, Brazil, South Africa and Tanzania.
