Martin Sneary is a dedicated conservationist with over 25 years of experience formulating strategies, crafting effective partnerships, and delivering impactful programs of work at the intersection of science, policy, and technology. At IUCN he leads the Business and Nature Team, working with leading private sector actors, industry associations, and influencers to adapt, strengthen and develop tools, approaches, and financing mechanisms, to improve and accelerate the adoption of corporate practices that reduce impacts on biodiversity.
Prior to working closely with the private sector, Martin devoted many years to leading the management, analysis, and presentation of scientific data, completing pioneering work in support of an inspirational agenda to conserve threatened species and identify and protect priority habitats for conservation.
Martin holds a BSc in Biology & Computer Science from the University of Southampton and an MBA from Warwick Business School. He is an award-winning wildlife photographer and avid birder, and much of his free time is devoted to outdoor pursuits.
