Natalia Niles Arguello (Lexi) is a high school Senior in McCallum High School's Fine Arts Academy in Austin, Texas. Lexi has a passion for environmental climate justice and international service and has been a member of the Austin Mayor’s Youth Climate Equity Council for the last two years. At the IUCN World Conservation Congress, she will be presenting a project she began summer 2025 creating sensory science material boxes for the FIN Place Based Environmental Education Project at Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired aa part of the Bridging Science, Community, and Access Through Youth Leadership panel in the exhibition space. She has also completed many projects for her community such as repairing the riparian zone of the urban waterway, Waller Creek, bringing community members together to improve playground equipment at her elementary school, and through 12 years as a Girl Scout. Lexi’s last international service was in Costa Rica and Panama where she helped a local tribe and a turtle sanctuary. Lexi is also a singer, songwriter, and guitarist and enjoys creative projects that overlap with her environmental work.
