Siska Martina Sihombing

Biography

Siska (Martina Cahyati) Sihombing leads the global programme development of the IUCN Green List within the IUCN Global Protected and Conserved Areas team in Switzerland. With over 13 years of international experience in nature conservation, she has worked across project management, sustainability standards, sustainable development, and policy advocacy at both national and international levels. At IUCN, her work includes advancing financing for area-based conservation and promoting Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) in the governance of protected and conserved areas.

Originally from Sumatra, Indonesia, Siska holds Master’s degrees in Human-Social Sciences and International Economic Development. Fluent in French, English, and Indonesian (as well as Malay), she brings a strong passion for equitable conservation and for strengthening Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in global environmental action.
