Suneetha MAZHENCHERY SUBRAMANIAN

Biography

Suneetha M Subramanian is a Research Fellow with the United Nations University-Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability. She has more than 20 years of experience in international and sub-national research and capacity building activities relating to biodiversity and human well-being with a specific focus on equity, bridging across knowledge systems for sustainable solutions, policy-practice alignment, community well-being, assessment of changes to ecosystems and human wellbeing, integrated approaches towards socio-ecological resilience, and joint implementation of policies and actions on Health and Biodiversity at the community level. 
She has been involved in various assessments of the IPBES (Regional, Global and Values Assessment) as Lead/ Co-ordinating Lead author and is on the Editorial board of key journals related to sustainability. She has a basic degree in Agricultural sciences ( Kerala Agricultural University) and PhD in Agricultural Economics (University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore)
