Session Description
Forests are among the most valuable ecosystems on the planet, providing critical ecosystem services. However, their value is often overlooked in financial decision-making due to the lack of standardised frameworks for measuring natural capital. A global initiative is now underway to standardise the measurement and reporting of natural capital, across the global forest sector. This initiative, led by ISFC, in partnership with the Capitals Coalition and supported by TNFD ultimately aims to integrate the value of nature into financial and policy frameworks in a robust, transparent, and scalable way. This panel will bring together leaders from the forestry sector, scientific community, standards bodies, and investors to explore how standardising natural capital measurement and state of nature metrics—particularly in forest ecosystems—can accelerate the shift in capital flows toward nature-positive investments.Organised by
