Elizabeth Nsimadala is a Ugandan young agriprenuer and a smallholder farmer. She is the President of the Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF), Current Board member and past President at the Pan Africa Farmers Organization (PAFO) and former Africa representative on the Board of World Farmers Organisation (WFO).
Elizabeth is a task force member for AU- EU Cooperation in Agriculture, sits on the Global steering committee for Forest Farm Facility (FFF) by FAO. She is the Vice President for Africa FAO One Country One Priority Commodity (FAO – OCOP), serves on the board of Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) and the Africa Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (AFAAS). She is a member of the steering committee of Pan Africa Agribusiness Chamber (PAAAC) and sits on the Technical Committee for Common Africa Agricultural industrial Parks (CAAPS) Initiative of the Africa Union Commission (AUC).

- Steering committee member for IFAD’s Global Farmers Forum
- Member of the Civil Society Committee of the Africa Development Bank (AfDB)
- Member of the Governing Council for Africa Fertilizer Financing Mechanism (AFFM)
She currently sits on the board of ACTESA/COMESA , chairs the Advisory Board of the National Alliance of Agricultural Cooperatives in Uganda (NAAC) and serves on a number of National and local farmers’ and cooperative platforms.
Elizabeth holds a MSc. In Project Planning and management from Ndejje University Uganda (2016) and a B.A in Social Sciences from Makerere University Kampala – Uganda (2007). She has additional professional and skills experience in Women Farmers in leadership from Andreas Hermes Akademie in Germany, cooperative development, agroprocessing and agricultural marketing and logistics management from Israel and China, administrative law from Law Development Centre Kampala (LDC), Computer Studies from the Department of Gender and Development Studies Makerere University, among others.
She is a passionate cooperator and small holder farmer who has been at the fore front of policy engagements, climate change discourse and championing digitalization of the agriculture sector through the EAFF farmers’ owned E-granary mobile initiative that virtually aggregates farmers for input, services and output markets and noteworthy her advocacy for inclusivity through gender and youth strategic focus. As a result of her efforts and support to farmers organizations, she has received a number of local and global recognitions and awards including the World Farmers Organization, as one of the women contributing to sustainable development, PAFO and EAFF for Exemplary Leadership and recognition from the United States of America Farmers and Ranchers in Action for inspiring farmers globally for Action and fighting for farmers rights and CURAD as an established enterprise.
