Angela Andrade

Biografía

Presidenta de la Comisión. Presidenta de la Comisión Mundial de Manejo Ecosistémico de la Unión Internacional para la Conservación de la Naturaleza desde el 2016. Directora Senior de Política de Cambio Climático y Biodiversidad en Conservación Internacional Colombia, desde el 2009. Anteriormente se desempeñó como directora de Ecosistemas del Ministerio de Ambiente y Subdirectora de Geografía del Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzí en Colombia. Es Antropóloga de la Universidad de los Andes, especializada en Geografía y Levantamientos Rurales y Msc en Ecología, del ITC en Holanda. Tiene más de 25 años de experiencia en temas de investigación en ecología del territorio, planificación del uso de la tierra y políticas ambientales. En los últimos años se ha dedicado a promover a nivel global los temas de Adaptación basada en Ecosistemas y Soluciones basadas en la Naturaleza como respuesta a las crisis de biodiversidad y el cambio climático, entre otros.
