Session Description

Asia’s ecological future hinges on its lifelines—from the Himalayas to the oceans. This interactive session spotlights how Nature-based Solutions (NbS) led by youth and Indigenous communities are restoring resilience across Asia’s vast and interconnected mountain ecosystems- the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH). With the Himalayas at the centre of cascading climate and water crises, and 10 major rivers linking 1.9 billion people downstream to river basins, this session explores how scaling locally rooted NbS can deliver regional and global impact. The event is designed for IUCN Members, youth, policy actors, practitioners, and investors committed to inclusive and scalable climate and biodiversity solutions.
