Biography

 Dr. Campilan Ieads IUCN Asia and Oceania in serving the region’s 48 statutory countries through science-based knowledge, tools and solutions for the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. Prior to IUCN, he served in similar senior leadership roles with various international development and research organizations – in the CGIAR and UN – for managing regional technical cooperation on climate-resilient agriculture and food systems, inclusive business and market development, and sustainable landscapes and ecosystems. He holds a PhD in Agriculture and Environment Sciences from Wageningen University, The Netherlands.
